  1. 1. Unlock & power up

    • Disarm the alarm, unlock, and turn on lights, HVAC, and music.
    • Power up the POS, booking system, and phones; disable the after-hours message.
  2. 2. Sanitation & stations

    • Confirm tools were disinfected and stored properly from the prior night.
    • Set up each station with clean linens, disinfected implements, and stocked supplies.
    • Refill disinfectant containers and check sanitizer concentrations.
  3. 3. Front-of-house readiness

    • Tidy reception, restrooms, and retail displays.
    • Set up the cash drawer/float and reconcile the starting balance.
    • Review the day's schedule and note any special requests or new clients.
  4. 4. Pre-service checks

    • Verify hot water, towel warmer, and equipment are functioning.
    • Confirm PPE and first-aid supplies are available.
    • Hold a brief team huddle to assign coverage and review the day.
